Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The Senior Care Assistant is responsible for coordinating care in a residential unit, supporting clinical duties, and ensuring high standards for residents.
Expect to manage shift handovers and supervise Care Assistants while helping new team members settle in smoothly. Training is ongoing, including digital care systems.
Building strong relationships with both residents and their families is emphasised. Communication with GPs, nurses and external healthcare providers is routine.
Personal care duties are part of the daily job, as is close collaboration with registered nurses to help administer medication and maintain records.
Having or working towards an NVQ3 in care is a plus, and applicants should be team-oriented, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference.
