Daily Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Contract Project Manager, you will oversee multiple projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include attending pre-start meetings, conducting site surveys and collaborating with structural engineers for design input.
You’ll be briefing draughtsmen, controlling budgets for materials, plant, and labour, and scheduling fabrication with the operations manager. Creating method statements and risk assessments will form part of your regular tasks.
You will lead site teams to deliver snag-free installations within tight project timelines. Regular budget reviews and invoice preparations are also included.
Collaboration with company directors for final account agreements rounds off the list of regular duties. Basic IT skills and familiarity with document control platforms are strongly recommended.
Knowledge of relevant standards like BS EN 1090 for steelwork, Exec 2 & 3, is expected for this role.
